Forgetting Dad online for free for the next 48 hours!

Our crowdfunding campaign on IndieGoGo is going into the last weekend. To celebrate this event, we are making the entire 84-minute version of “Forgetting Dad” available for free online in the original English version for the next 48 hours. You can view the film in excellent HD quality without any commercial interruptions, but it is not possible to download the film. If you like the film and want a copy for your library, you can purchase the DVD here.

Why are we giving away the film? To thank our supporters and to gain new fans. All we ask in return is that you spread the word about the film to your friends and family, and encourage them to make a donation to our crowdfunding campaign. Those donating $1 or more will gain access to exclusive bonus material not found on the DVD or anywhere else, as well as some terrific VIP perks. Plus you will be supporting our ongoing efforts to market the film around the world.

Video of orchestral recording session now online

As another bonus to supporters of the Father’s Day Film Tour, we’re making the 43 min. video of the recording session with the Deutsches Filmorchester Babelsberg available online. See composer Ari Benjamin Meyers conducting his breathtaking score.
Simply go to our crowdfunding site, pledge any amount of $1 or more, and you will be sent the link and password to the video. We’d love to give it to you for absolutely free, but we’re dependent on your help to recoup our expenses from the film tour, and to continue our efforts to get the film out there. Crowdfunding campaign for Father’s Day Film Tour and DVD release underway

Today we launched the crowdfunding campaign for the Father’s Day Film Tour and DVD release of FORGETTING DAD. We aim to raise $6000 on IndieGoGo by July 10, 2011 to cover the production of the deluxe-edition DVD, new promotional materials and travel expenses related to Rick’s tour of California.

Even though Rick was born and raised in California and most of FORGETTING DAD was shot there, it has never been publicly screened there. But this is about to change. The California premiere will take place as part of the prestigious USC Summer Film Series on Father’s Day, June 19th. Rick will then tour around the state for two weeks.
